Hommage à William Commanda

Chef algonquin né en 1913 près de Maniwaki, où il organisa le rassemblement annuel, le « Cercle de toutes les Nations ». Arrière-petit-fils de Pakinawatik, il participa régulièrement à des visites pacifistes et spirituelles à l’ONU et est reconnu partout dans le monde pour ses activités de promotion de l’harmonie interraciale et interculturelle, de la justice et du respect pour la Terre-Mère. Il est décédé en 2011 à l’age de 97 ans.

 
William Commanda “Ojigkwanong”, Algonquin chief, born in 1913 near Maniwaki, where he organized the annual gathering, the “Circle of All Nations”. Great-grand-son of Pakinawatik, he regularly took part in peace and spiritual tours to the United Nations and is recognized worldwide for his promotion of intercultural and interracial harmony, justice and respect for the Earth Mother. He died in 2011 at the age of 97 years.
